BUFF is part of the Nordic network NoJSe – Nordic Junior Sessions. As part of the project, an annual think tank is organised with representatives from the Nordic children’s film industry. The discussion forms the basis for an annual report, authored by Johanna Koljonen. This year’s NoJse report was presented for the first time at the Berlin Film Festival and now it’s Malmö’s turn. The report’s observations and conclusions will be discussed from an international festival perspective. What role do children’s and youth film festivals play in the changing media landscape? What are the festivals’ biggest challenges, and what does the future look like?
